Justin is an experienced solicitor with upwards of 30 years’ in practice. During this period he has acted for a wide range of private and commercial clients ranging from farmers, media companies and property developers to fishing syndicates, forestry companies and charitable organizations.

Justin has broad sectoral experience with particular expertise and interest in the areas of property, tax and agriculture. He has represented many property owners throughout the country for whom he has won several landmark cases. More recently, he has been to the fore in negotiating complex commercial agreements for farmers and landowners with renewable energy companies.

Justin’s dedication to his clients and passion for practicing law has strengthened the reputation of Anthony Carroll as a leading firm in the Cork area.

Ian undertook his undergraduate studies at UCC and Brooklyn Law School, New York. He completed his legal training at a top four Dublin law firm where he gained valuable commercial experience before joining Anthony Carroll & Co. He holds a Certificate in Commercial Contracts from the Law Society and advises clients on a range of commercial arrangements and employment issues.

Ian is also an experienced probate practitioner and advises private clients on wills, tax planning and the administration of estates. In addition, he has extensive property experience advising clients on the sale and purchase of residential, commercial and agricultural property.

Peter O’Hanlon has 30 years’ experience as a solicitor having worked in private practice in Cork before joining Anthony Carroll & Co. Previously, he spent several years working as a litigation lawyer in New York City where he was admitted to the New York Bar.

He is a highly respected conveyancer and advises on all elements of residential sales, mortgages and title issues. He is consulted by both landlords and tenants in relation to residential lettings and proceedings before the Residential Tenancies Board.

Peter is an experienced litigator and has amassed wide litigation experience throughout his career including handling divorce, family law proceedings, personal injury litigation and negligence claims.

Valerie Carroll is a qualified barrister and has over 35 years’ experience dealing with wills, trusts, taxation and the administration of complex estates. She is a specialist probate practitioner and has particular expertise in drafting wills. Valerie has an in-depth knowledge of succession and probate law and is widely experienced in estate planning, trusts and powers of attorney.
